MAKE A COMEBACK !!

Those who grew up in the 90’s, in my opinion, were the luckiest people (me included)
The 90’s were glorious years before Myspace, Facebook, 10 million computer games, before ipods and PS2……….

We actually went out and played……..We rode our bikes and scraped our knees……………Our mothers didn’t take us to the doctors for a tetanus shot every time we had a small scrape…… A cartoon band aid did the trick…………………….
…..

We looked forward to our summer vacations where nothing about school or other worries crossed our lives…..Our biggest decisions involved choosing between reading Goosebumps or Shivers……………… We ran back home at 6 pm so we could watch Full house and Small Wonder………….. Although we went back to play at 7 🙂 ………………. We did not need to worry about career, loans, Resume, interviews etc……………..

We knew the names of all the power rangers and Captain Planet and his team…………..Most of us collected items like Giga pets or Tazos……………..or stick on tattoos ……………..We shared a water bottle with our friends and did not ever catch any contagious life threatening disease…………….

What made those years easy was its simplicity…………..We were care free because adult hood seemed like a whole life time away…………….The thought that we would one day leave them to explore our respective lives did not even cross our minds……………Our biggest tension was the exam result on school re opening day………..None of us got nervous break downs or heart palpitations out of worry…………We did manage to bite off our nails in result fear………………

Being a grown up certainly has its many advantages and some how I would not relive my child hood again……………I like the freedom I have to make my own choices in life……………But maybe I could do without any worries for a day……………Just one day of completely mindless activities should make me very happy……………..
