With degrees hot off the racks and semi-decent grades aquired; most of us are running around the proverbial market trying to secure a decent 2.5p.a + benefits job. Most of us have our interview answers prepared down to the last letter but have you ever stopped to consider the questions that every one asks?
1.) Tell me about yourself
2.) Where do you see yourself 5 years from now?
While these questions are essential what interviewers must realize is that it is pointless to hire automatons. Ones who have spent a week memorizing appropriate answers and technical stuff they might have otherwise ignored during their college years…..
Here are some questions I would like to be asked: (along with the usual)
1.) What is your main passion?
2.) What do you do in your spare time?
3.) Aside from career, what is your biggest dream?
Maybe these questions may seem irrelevant to the company itself, they help understand the psyche of an individual. You do not want to end up with a clever, hard working psychopath…..
Hope there are a few companies out there who want “individuals’….
Try asking these questions…Who knows you might have the next Bill Gates in your midst….
